1. Install NETCONFc License Server

The license server computer must have at least 200 MB of free disk space and 256 MB of RAM.

The license server should run continuously so that all team members can check out licenses.

The license server can be installed on the same machine where a NETCONFc application is running.

Please follow the instructions below to install your license server.

Download and Install NETCONFc Floating License Server

2. Install NETCONFc Application

2.1 Download the latest NETCONFc Installer

Windows: 10 and 11

Note: If clicking on the download link is blocked, you may need to right-click the link and select ‘Save Link As…‘.
Please ignore the file “can’t be downloaded securely” or “unknown publisher” warning and simply click ‘Keep‘ or ‘Run Anyway‘ to proceed.

2.2 Install NETCONFc 

Windows: Double-click the installer file to install the application

Linux: NETCONFc Linux installer is a gzipped tar file. To install it, simply run the following command:

  $ tar -zxf seguesoft_netconfc_pro_xxxx_xx_xx.tar.gz
  $ cd  dist
  $ ./install.sh

 2.3 Start NETCONFc

  Windows: Select the installed application named ‘NETCONFc Pro’ to run.

  Linux:

  $ cd 'your installation directory'  
$ ./start_NETCONFc.sh

3. Importing Your Floating License File into NETCONFc

When you start the NETCONFc application, a dialog will appear, prompting you to provide a valid license file. Please disregard the HostID reported on the message dialog.

Simply grab a copy of the fortlm_license.lic file that your license server is using and save it on your computer.

Next, click the Browse and Import button to install the license file into your NETCONFc application.

You should now be able to run the application.

If you encounter the error “Unable to connect to the license server,” please check if the license server or the listening port is reachable and not blocked.
